Reading Dacor F-Codes
Dacor ovens report F-codes that point at the temperature-sensing and control chain. An F1 or F2 usually flags an oven sensor or over-temperature condition, while F3 and F4 indicate the sensor circuit is reading open or shorted. An F0 points at the keypad or control board. In each case the code names the circuit, and the actual failed part is confirmed with a resistance reading.
Sensor Versus Board
The most common Dacor oven fix is a drifted or failed temperature sensor, which is inexpensive next to the control board, so we always read the sensor's resistance before condemning the board.
